INFO:
Serve receive is one of the most crucial skills in volleyball. This is why we work with all of our liberos, defensive specialists, pin players and future pin players on how to serve receive efficiently. When serve receive passing think LESS IS MORE! The less movement (less unnecessary steps, less swinging, less facing, etc.) the more controlled your body is. This athlete drove a total of 6 hours on Friday night to get 1 hour of libero training in. In this one hour we went from: Taking unnecessary small steps where we don’t go anywhere ➡️ to minimizing steps and only moving when necessary Not dropping our shoulder resulting in the ball going not to our target ➡️ dropping our shoulder and the ball going to target Being unbalanced and moving our hips away from the ball ➡️ staying balanced and keeping our hips more neutral A ton of extra platform movement (swinging) ➡️ controlled and precise platform movement A perfect pass is harder than it seems, it takes multiple steps to get the ball to the target as described above. If you could improve this dramatically in 1 hour, would you? Comment 🏐 below if you want to fix your serve receive! Edge is known for training the top passers in the Tampa Bay Area!
